About Amandala
We help you to get out of your head and reconnect with your senses.
Amandala’s group events are a collection of unique and bespoke experiences created by Amanda and our team. We bring you dynamic laughter, connection to woodlands and meadows, endorphin-rich chocolate, positive psychology and deep healing breath work. Our three individually titled approaches aim to enhance either calm, laughter or indulgence and yet there is always a natural crossover and relationship thread to our events and always a sense of freedom and release.
We understand that underneath the noise and stress of our busy lives, there is a vibrant, curious and instinctive individual, each with their own unique talents, needs and desires. We support groups and businesses and focus on activities that enhance resilience, productivity, group cohesion, and work-life balance and leave participants feeling uplifted, focused and relaxed.
The HEART behind Amandala...
Amandala is a marriage of two words, Mandala & Amanda
A Mandala is a beautiful, geometric symbol of the universe chiefly used for meditation. There are many varied, colourful, and intricate patterns that are as individual as each of us.
Amanda is a Latin name taken from the feminine form of the saint’s name Amandus and amāre (“to love”) meaning "loveable", "worthy of love” or “one deserved of love".
About Amanda Bate
Amanda is the founder and director of Amandala Revitalising Events incorporating, Laugh Alive, Love Chocolate and Forest & Nature Bathing Sussex. She is a laughter facilitator and founder member of the former Laughter Network (supporting and linking laughter-based professionals with businesses nationwide). Amanda is trained in Laughter Yoga, Therapeutic Drama, Movement & Voice work, Conscious Connected Breath Work and the Art of Chocolate Making & Teaching. During recent restrictions, Amanda trained in Shinrin Yoku (Forest Bathing) and developed her individual interpretation of this beautiful sensory experience. Forest & Nature Bathing Sussex connects with parks and woodlands of the National Trust, The Living Coast, Bluebell English Wines, Action in Rural Sussex, Farleys House and Gallery (the home of artists Lee Miller, Roland Penrose and Picasso’s favoured Sussex destination), Stanmer Park and the wilderness beyond.
We’ve been hosting bespoke events for nearly twenty years, both in Sussex, the UK and Europe and we embrace our group of trained practitioners OR teams of professionals for our larger events and collaborations. Amanda has been an ambassador on many PR campaigns including Oral-B and the Smile of Britain and has appeared in national and regional TV, radio and print interviews.
“Amanda is oozing with energy and life! I left the session feeling wonderfully light-hearted and in higher spirits than I had been in a long time.”
